What is a Special?
A Special will be patient ready and “tailor-made” in response to specific individual need, when, for example, a licensed product has been discontinued or is temporarily unavailable, or the Doctor considers the patient’s needs will best be met with an unusual formulation, or strength, or a preservative or additive free product.
A Special is an unlicensed medicine prescribed by a Doctor when a suitable licensed product is not available.
